The Department of Rubber Technology, L.D. College of Engineering, organized an Industrial Visit for B.E. Semester-6 students on 9th February 2026 at Indian Expeller Works Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad.

Indian Expeller Works Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of rubber processing machinery, supplying advanced equipment used in mixing, milling, and molding operations across the rubber industry.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to:

• Observe the design and manufacturing of rubber machinery such as internal mixers, mixing mills, hydraulic presses, and extrusion equipment.

• Understand the working principles of key rubber processing machines and their role in compounding and product development.

• Learn about material selection, mechanical design considerations, and automation in rubber machinery.

• Gain exposure to assembly lines, quality inspection procedures, and performance testing of machines.

• Interact with technical experts to understand industrial challenges in machine fabrication, maintenance, and process optimization.

This visit provided valuable insight into the backbone of rubber manufacturing machinery. It helped students connect theoretical knowledge of rubber processing with practical industrial applications, strengthening their technical foundation and industry readiness.
