Industry Visit-Pioneer Industries 

The Department of Rubber Technology, L.D. College of Engineering, organized an Industrial Visit for B.E. Semester-6 students on 12th February 2026 at Pioneer Industries, Ahmedabad.

Pioneer Industries is a well-known manufacturer specializing in rubber O-rings, oil seals, and customized sealing solutions used in automotive, hydraulic, and industrial applications. The visit provided students with practical exposure to precision rubber component manufacturing and sealing technology.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to:

• Understand the manufacturing process of rubber O-rings and seals, from raw material selection to finished product inspection.

• Observe compounding, mixing, molding, vulcanization, trimming, and finishing operations.

• Learn about different elastomers such as NBR, EPDM, Silicone, and Viton used for specific sealing applications.

• Gain knowledge of quality control tests including hardness testing, tensile testing, compression set, and dimensional inspection.

• Interact with industry professionals and understand real-time challenges in maintaining product quality and tolerances.

This industrial exposure strengthened students’ understanding of sealing technology, precision rubber molding, and quality assurance practices. The visit helped bridge the gap between classroom concepts and real-world industrial applications, enhancing their technical competence and professional awareness in the field of rubber technology.
